Cable-stayed bridge at Palazzolo over the river Oglio

Alhambra SRL and architect Luca Farinelli, have participated to the design of a cable-stayed bridge over the Oglio river close to Palazzolo town; design was completed with the support of various experts coordinated by Centro Padane SRL. A five spans solution of 24-44-100-44-24 m with two reinforced concrete masts supporting the cables, and a steel-concrete deck has been recognized as the best to fit design constraints. LUSAS and PontiEC4 have been extensively used for the optimization of structural design. Rendering and photos show the good result of the insertion in the site. More details will follow at next design stage.

Safety assessment of the bridge over the Nera river at km 40+000 of the SR204, near Narni (TR).

The Province of Terni has assigned to Alhambra the safety assessment. The structure, built around 1970, has 5 spans of 38 meters with a deck in post-tensioned prestressed beams and is of particular interest as it is on the corridor used for the transport of exceptional loads from the Terni steelworks. Using a by-bridge, experimental on site investigations have been launched, planned in exhaustive numbers, to reach the maximum level of knowledge. Alongside the organization of the tests, the day was also partly dedicated to discovering the naturalistic beauty of the place.
